Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the lnkz.tr link shortening service processes, why, and for how long it is kept. The data controller is 8Bit Grup Bilişim Danışmanlık Yazılım Ltd. Şti.. lnkz.tr is offered under the Softmed brand.

Data we process

Account data

At sign-up we collect your name, email address and optionally company name and phone number. Your password is stored only as an irreversible hash — never in plain text.

Short link data

For every short link we store the destination address, short code, and any title or tags you supply. Links created without an account carry no account information.

Click data

When a short link is opened we record the timestamp, user agent, referrer and device type. IP addresses are never stored in plain text — only an irreversible SHA-256 digest, used solely for abuse detection and de-duplication.

API and AI usage

API requests are logged with endpoint, response code, duration and key identifier. When you use the AI assistant, the destination address and any notes you provide are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate suggestions, and the output is stored in your account. We do not use this data to train AI models.

Purposes

• Providing the service: creating and resolving short links
• Statistics: click counts, device and referrer breakdown
• Security: preventing abuse, spam and automated attacks
• Billing: credit purchases and usage records

Retention

• Account data: until the account is deleted
• Short links and click records: until the link is deleted
• API logs: 12 months
• Invoice and payment records: for the statutory retention period

Third parties

Payments run through iyzico and/or PayTR; card details never touch our systems. AI features use Anthropic (Claude API). QR images are produced by an external QR service and contain only the already-public short link.

Cookies

We use a single strictly necessary session cookie (lnkzsid). No advertising or profiling cookies are placed.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to processing. Contact us through the contact page, at info@lnkz.tr, or in writing at the postal address above.
